So this tire size calculator says that my big ol 19's that I'm buying could cause brake failure, I think that's a sack of shit. Also, if I re callibrate the speedo with the engine bay, will that take into account the bigger tires or will I always be going 10 mph slower than the speedo says? Also, how come more people don't use 19's or 18's for day to day driving?

19's are unpractical for everyday use. The tires have to be so small that one bump and those rims are gone. Plus the turning issues and the ride has to be so slammed to even fit on 19's. I recommend the biggest you get is 18.

I don't know about the brake failure part, but to your second question. A lot of people do ride on 18's and some on 19's. Apart from the obvious Performance and wheel clearance reasons, I think money is also a factor. Those big 19's and tires or even 18's are going to cost a pretty penny more than say 16's or 17's.

I've got aerospeed RSGT 19' wheels, The wheels are designed for every application. (ex.) My wheels have a 45mm ofset, These wheels are designed to were you can use the full turning radius w/out rubbing anything. Never have any problems.

If I had to do it again I would buy 17 with a beefy tire. Its just annoying to change them everytime I go to the track.

But the 19's look better. They fill up the huge fender well the celica has.

Hope this helps

If your concern is break wearing, check the weight of the wheels, (no fat chrome) thumbsdown haha!
