Okay so I had ordered a pair of these APC seats 3 weeks ago and just now attempted to install them today. When I ordered them, I guess I kind of ASSumed they would fit on the Celica.

Bad assumption. angry

When trying to install today, I quickly realized the sliders that came attached to the seats don't line up at all with the holes pre-drilled on the Celica. Not even close man. thumbsdown

I went as far as attempting to remove the sliders from the stock seats, but to no avail. The seats are just built differently. Hopefully the place I got them can give me an exchange or refund, otherwise it was a waste of $400. cry

I bought the seats online from www.ecarboutique.com. [ecarboutique.com.] I'll let everyone know how it goes.

In the meantime, does anyone know any sites that sell seats/sliders that would fit our Celicas?

yeah, APC is pretty much garbage... try to get your $400 refunded and save up for a reputable brand like Sparco

Ive seen those at the store. They seem pretty cheap. I like the stock ones better, they look less ricey.

Why not drill new holes on the sliders?

Most places won't give you a refund, they'll give you store credit.

Alright, I was able to return my seats and get an 80% refund (they charged me a 20% re-stocking fee).

Well if I didn't know, now I know!

I think I'll just stick to the stocks until I can save up to get REAL seats.

when you buy aftermarket seats you need to buy the sliders for the seats and then the adapters for the vehicle. A company called Wedge Fabricators in CA makes the seat brackets for most of the big companies like sparco, recaro, corbeau etc. If you call them up and tell them what brand seat you have they make the adapter to bolt to that slider and into your car. I've used their brackets in my cougar for Tenzo R seats and my new leather Corbeau seats. Very good quality adapters.
