I have a '00 GT (I don't know how much is the difference between GT & GTS...). However, I paid almost $1000 (year) full coverage (including up to 2k medical payments) with AAA
Is it sound fair? confused

They are all going to be close to the same.

A note I always include:

Only the comp/collision premium is changed by what car you drive. If insurance is such a big worry that you might switch cars... just raise your deductible for those two coverages. A new car will not change your liability premium, which is the majority of what most people pay.

With state farm, the rating facotor is either 19 or 20 for the GT (forget) and 23 for the GTS. That's fairly significant.

jae are you giving us full details about your insurance??? i mean are your parents paying for yours?? if so do they have multiple cars under the insurance maybe thats whay your insurance is so low. but you have to consider this you are 19 and if you buy your insurance by yourself its going to be high until your 25 and it doesnt matter what you drive you are sttill considered as a "new" driver since you are so young. insurance depeds on a lot of factors , area you live in, accidents, type of car, etc. so buying a new car doesnt necessarilly mean cheaper insurance

26, 2 tx , 2K GT and pay $160/month. And thats with $1000 deductable. If I would have gotten the $500 deductable, I would have ended up paying more than $200/month.
