Last sat. i went to get a tint and man they did a horrible job. the guy had dirt in some spots, the rear windows tint wasnt cut straight, there were lil bent marks on the tints... it was f***ed up. I was mad. i made them take off the tint and got my money back. thats the last time im going to that place.

anyways i found this other tint shop, which is more professional. they have all sorts of tints. Im trying to decide between a 35% blue tint or a 30%mirror tint. what do you guys think.?

I don't like the color tints .. they're tacky to me. As for the mirror, it would look alright if you had something to offset it, like chrome rims.

Black always looks the best though thumbsup

I think the colors tend to seem like a good idea when you're shopping around, but once it's on your car I think it's only a matter of time before it looses it's novelty.

get what ever you think looks good. it's your car and it shouldn't matter what other people think... thumbsup
my personal opinion: BLACK/SMOKE GREY
color tint looks real tacky... and mirror tint looks good on luxury cars only IMO

Since your car is blue, the blue might not look so bad.. (ive seen it before)... mirror tint is ok if you got something to carry it out through the rest of the car.. but i like black above all.

you kno wat would look good wen usin color is if you put both...like a blue tint first then the top layer would be light smoke black tint. It would look dark blue...seen it before and it looked nice. I wanna get it but costs too much. I asked around and it would cost 220 jus for the blue and 140 for the smoke...

here it cost 190 for the blue. Its not like a royal blue. The tint looks more like a dark blue to me. The tint shop said he'll put a sample on my windows to see what it'll look like, If it looks nice ima get it. if not ima go wit the 30% black tint.

yeah i asked the guy about the double tint. He said it'll cost another job. 160+160 = 320... ouch... to much for a tint.

Maybe i can do the tint in black myself it looks easy to do. all i have to do is cut it to the shape of the window and stick it on. I seen it how it was done at the first shop I went to. It looks so easy. After that i can go and get the shop to put the blue tint on. What do you think?

the ones that comes with luxury cars like the mercedes are not tints. those are actually the glass itself...

^^ i know mercedes and other luxury car companies have used a slight bluish complexion on their windows and that's fine. But the ricers who get any color of the rainbow on their windows need to die.

I had them tint my car when I first bought it, which was a year ago. I got 50% on the front 2 windows (and sides), and 30% on the back hatch. Lately I have been thinking that it needs to go darker. cool

They said they could strip and retint the doors and side windows at 30% to match the back, but it would be $100.

Do you think thats too much $ for such a little drop? Do think I would even notice a difference? confused

I don't know about the color tint, but I have a 30% mirror tint on my black celi, and I think it looks really good. It is very subtle. Not flashy at all. I was really happy with it.
