Well my car's top end speed isnt to bad. It runs pretty good 80 mph and up but off the line I can punch it and it wont even chirp the tires let alone spin them. Is it suposed to be like that. I have a 2000 GTS automatic.
if you just want to get a better launch torque brake off the line.
put car in drive put left foot on brake and with right foot rev the car up to about 2500-3000 rpm or just enough to feel the engine wanting to go. when light turns green remove foot and smash gas at same time. thats the only way to get out of the whole quick.
and yes this will fuck up your car just like any other type of "fun driving" will put more wear on the car.
you're not gonna be able to chirp your tires with an auto gts. i know b/c i have one even with I/E and torque braking i still can't chrip 'em. (in fact i think that my initial launch off the line has been hurt since i did my mods, but it makes up for it around 3-5k rpms)
yeah, but i don't think most people who buy autos are looking to race...if i really wanted to i could put a n20 kit in and be faster than 99% of manuals out there, but i just don't really see the point, i'd rather spend the money on a VS kit
