i have been having a problem with my AC for a while, so i took my car to Champion Toyota to let them check out yesterday. my AC just doesnt stay on. it can be really cold, and all of a sudden, it just shuts off.

Champion Toyota couldnt find the problem, and they still charged me $101 for it. (well, they did put some FREON, but i had plenty of FREON.)

anyway, it was all bullshit.


anyone on this board "kind of" knows what is wrong with my AC? my AC sometimes wont cool at all when it is a very hot weather outside.

I know it might sound stupid but do you have the A/C button on the dash pushed on? Also try seeing if the air is different if you are re-using it or venting it out (the slidy knob).

i know what you are talking about. the AC button is pushed on...and i am re-using the air!

speaking of, my buddy has an 01 gts, and his passenger side window wouldnt work, so he took it to the toyota dealership around here (north east PA) and they told him it would cost $130, well he wanted to find out the problem on his on, and found out he had to press the passenger door lock button. LOL
