Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior You can't lower your car 60-70mm without a camber kit?

I thought about going apeshit on my 40mm lowering springs, and just cutting them so they'll drop the car about 60mm up front and 70mm rear (that's more than the eibach sportline kit).

But a friend of mine said the rear wheels will hit something-or-other part if I try to drop the car that much without a camber adjustment kit.

Sooooo...Will it?

And does the eibach sportline kit come with a camber adjustment kit - or do you have to buy that seperatly?

you dont need a camber kit for the eibach sportline. and the camber kit is sold seperately for $200+.

you'll be fine without a camber kit...it is not low enough to affect your camber...

Sweet. Some a-hole told me that my rims (rear) would rub against something in the suspention or whatever if I didn't get a kit. I really don't mind the negative camber, just looks cool (and should corner very well ) but constant scrubbing would piss me off seriously quick.

I'm going to cut the springs and drive like that untill I get a real setup sorted. One of my other cars had cut off 80mm, and I drove around with that for 3 years without a problem (you couldn't get any decent lowering kits for it, so I had to...) so the celica will have to live with a bit of a redneck suspension setup untill I get something decent. I'll just avoid testing "how fast can I take this turn?" :-)

I just lowered mine 2.5" in the front and 2.75 " in the rear...took it to get an allignment at Toyota...they adjusted everything and I am only like -.02 degrees off camber in the front...so, It's good cause that isn't much at all.

Stock camber can be adjusted up to like 2.5"

I have 2.25 front 2.5 back... and they were able to adjust it with stock camber
