After reading about the install...it says you need to take off the front bumper...

What about the TRD Kit front bumper??? Would I still need to take that off to install my CAI??? Or is there a way around it?

,,,anyone who knows or has a TRD kit and did the install...info would be appreciated!

Please and Thank you!

You don't need to take off the bumper. All I did was cut the plastic for the Intake hole from the engine bay, and I just slipped the whole Intake in. I assembled the Intake filter to the pipe first, then slipped it in. I would also suggest removing the wheel, but you don't have to. A week later from the install, I removed my bumper anyway to put the heat shield in. Taking the TRD bumper off wasn't that hard. So don't sweat it.

Taking off the bumper is pretty easy. I say try it & get used to it. Get under the car, get a bit dirty. Opens things right up so you can see what you're doing, instead of working half blind.

Also for the cut out, be sure to cut a good inch away from the tube all around. There have been instances of people not cutting as far, and where the plastics touch the pipe, a hole has been rubbed through or close from the friction.

Are all the bolt/nuts/screws to take off the front bumper visible??? Or are there some hidden ones???

Also, do you need 2 people like when installing a hood, or can it be done solo?

Never AFRAID of getting dirty!!! grin

Well...The install is done...I DIDN'T take of the bumper...I just went through the splash guard under the driver side wheel well...

Installed the Injen CAI with a heat shield...looks pretty good! Sounds Awesome...especially in lift... thumbsup

BUT...Today I noticed my Check Engine Light came on...so, now I must firgue out what's up with that!

...Which poses another question...I have an 04 GTS...when I pulled the small vacuum line off the engine and plugged the nipple on the engine...it left that vacuum line with no where to go...and that specific one starts out as ONE line and has a "Y" connector to make it two... What should I do with this??? Plug it? Leave it be? confused
