well unless you're willing to dish out 1000+ on just rims, finding a lightweight 18 probably wont happen. you're better going with 17s on 40 profile..since thats the profile you would get on an 18 inch wheel and it will give the same low profile look.

companies that would make light 18s would be Volk, SSR, any company by Rays, etc.

Also keep in mind that 18's don't make you slower just because they weigh more, but also because they have a greater circumference.

thanks for the replies, guys. any links to some sites that sell them?

I'm also looking at Racing Harts so any sites besides their main one would be helpful also. thumbsup

just go with the motegi ro_ja wheels, they're forged and don't cost too terribly much, more info at rojawheels.com. i've got the formula fives, can't wait to get them on, but i'm waiting till i have everything ready kit suspension and wheels seats and lots of others. should be finished by the end of july.

5Zigen has an 18" wheel that weighs 17 lbs. I think it's the FNOC-R (something like that)

Check out Enkei... they have a good number of wheels in the 18" sizes that are less then 20lbs.. which works out pretty good!! As for the slowing you down thing... if you go with a 225/35/18 for tires you won't be affecting your acceleration as the overall diameter is the same as stock! However keep in mind that for ever pound at your wheels/tires it is the same as four pounds in your car. So if you find a wheel that is 1 pound lighter thats a total of 4 pounds overall at your wheels and then the same as 16 pounds in your car which is almost the same as 2hp!!

Props for thinking about weight!!

I was just thinkin that I wanted an Intake and everything for my engine, and bigger rims would just cancel out the gains bc of the extra weight. Yes, I am an auto, but I still want some of my speed. tongue Thanks for all the sites and replies. thumbsup
