Has any one tried this and can recommend the easiest way to do it? I plan on looking into the SF Turbo kit in the future and from what I have been reading it seems the only way to maximize the Turbo's potential, at least torque wise, in a GTS is to lower the compression ratio in the engine. Can anyone recommend the easiest and cheapest way to do this? Would this effect the overall WHP significantly? I would like to maximize torque without sacrificing to much HP.
if you lower your compression, you will lose some hp, but you gain it back with a Turbo because you can now boost higher safely, but i would also recommend doing the rods while you are at it if you plan on running high boost. You can also get a bore kit that will not take as much away from the hp but is also costly to do.
Yeah I figured it might have to sacrifice some HP but that's ok as long as the Turbo produces. I would like to avoid a bore kit if at all possible especially if there is a cheaper and easier way to do it. I believe I read somewhere on one of these post about a lower compression kit? I'm assuming this is referring to a piston and rod kit that could do the trick. If this is true, where could I find one for a 00 GTS? Also, is there anything else I might need to strengthen (i.e. tranny, suspension, etc.) for the Turbo?

unless you plan on making over 275whp, you dont need lower compression pistions.
if you plan on going over 275 whp, you will need more than lower compression.
stronger transaxle, new sleves, apr head bolts, new connecting rods, standalone fuel management (not piggy back)

Yeah but a Performance clutch and flywheel should help the tranny, right?
that will help with using the power but your tranny will still dynamite (if its stock) you need cryo treated gears and such
