I own a white Celica and I want to get a new hood although, the hood I want is Carbon Fiber. Do you think it would look alright if I maybe put some other stuff on the exterior (wing center piece, mirrors, etc.) and put a white hood scoop and hood spoilers back on. Or should I just save up and buy one that I can paint to match the car? Thanks for the advice. BTW I finally hit 100, it took long enough. [ 05-20-2003, 10:07 PM: Message edited by: Proffitt ]

It is hard for me to picture it. But i don't think it would look bad. It would be very unique and different from the other celicas. I say go for it.

Does it cost any more to paint a carbon fiber hood then a regular hood?

Oh God PLEASE don't do it!! If you want to go Carbon Fiber then STAY Carbon Fiber. Get your hood, hoodscoop and wing insert and mirrors. It'll look a lot cleaner and mesh really well w/ your white car. If you don't have it, tint your windows dark too to add to the effect.

I had a Vis c/f hood on mine for a week "No sir I did'nt like it" it all depends on the color of things like your whl's etc. My whl's are wht and it just did'nt match but if you got stock or a dark whl (gunmetal) it may look great. You don't paint carbon fiber and I wouldn't put on hood spoilers the scoop would be ok. [ 05-21-2003, 08:16 AM: Message edited by: CID498 ]

Thanks for the opinions. I'm trying to make my car look different from the others but not "Ricey". I would like to see if I could get my car into some car shows and hope for the best from there. I will be putting it in two car shows at the end of this month and in June (for car stereo though). And since I have no more bills I have some play money now, so it is time for mods. And yes this is a mod question, but I thought I would might get flamed for the idea.
