I just install my AEM cold air Intake...How much extra noise should you hear from the cold air Intake? When the car is in park or sitting still I can hear the Intake sucking in air. Is this normal?

What size hex key is used to lock down the air flow meter?

does the noise stop after 5mins of idling or it's there all day long?? because with Intake the noise will be loud especially in the morning when you start up the car (very normal)..if it loud all the time then i don't know..y would you want to lock down the air flow meter??..

I need to tighten the air flow meter to the Intake...I was just wondering the hex key size??

I just install it a few hours ago. I just kept the car on for a few minutes rode it around the block then cut it off.

I will have to see if the noise stops after a longer drive

the noise usually stopped after 5mins of idling or so..make sure you have all the hoses connected correctly..otherwise good luck.

I checked all of the hoses and they are connected properly and tight...

The noise is coming from the AEM filter...I'm guessing thats what it is supposed to do. I just hope its ok

it's ok bro..all Intake will do that..as long as it's not way too loud then u're ok..after idling for awhile the noise will stop..oh yeah you said after you install it you took it out for a spin..well the noise is normal then because the car wasn't warm up yet, once it warm up the noise will go away..

on idle like in the morning a pretty loud hissing sound..because the Intake is sucking up the air.., but i think it sounds cool

heh, drive with a kazuma exhaust. im thinking about selling it due to the noise...hehe can't get used to it. But man you can't beat the purr of it when your in lift, it SCREAMS with such authority.

Is the sucking noise louder due to me having a TRD exhasut as well?

I'm just not used to the sucking noise and I'm trying to make sure that it's kool to drive.

The sucking noise is fine...just your filter sucking up air

that sound it awesome...that is the whole point

besides a little power

thats just air being sucked in...it'll be pretty loud when you start the car in the morning but should subside slightly after a while...its not a biggie
