So i got my hood today. thats 1 Veilside piece out of 6. no idea how much longer the rest will take. Take a look and tell me what you think i should do with the Mesh wire in the raised hood scoop. i think the hood looks SICK and i can't wait to get it on my ride. im thinking since i got a red 2k i will go with red hood and white mesh?
no im not sure if im getting fenders or not. so what about the mesh? if not white or the color of the car then what? silver? idk, I was thinking of getting more mesh on front and painting it white for the mouth of the VS front and then the hood would match it. heh please let me know what you think. I'de rather have honest opinions then be like "crap that looks bad" after i do the install. thanks. Btw the mesh came with the hood from veilside already on it.
please don't paint it white...the car is red..red and white = icky...
either go the color it is... or go black...that's all i can say...
the color it is is FINE and matched any color scheme...
mine in the front was painted red when i didn't want it to be cause my rear grill isn't colored... and it looks awesome NOT colored. leave it as it is on the front/rear/hood scoop mesh. TRUST me, it'll look 3284594 times better than some other color contrasting with it.
Yeah but the only problem is the mesh right now is like an off colored white so i didn't think painting it a nice color white would change the appearence that much. hmm this mesh that i did not know was going to be there is proving hindersome on what to do with it ahh well more insight please:) keep it coming and i would like to hear what other people would do in this situation or what they would like to see
havn't tried fitment yet. waiting a month for the rest of the stuff. would kinda be ghetto to drive around with a non painted hood:) i am tempted to though. hood weighs 8 pounds. the freakin box it was shipped in weighs more than the hood itself!
The body shop told me that if you were to paint the mesh then through driving conditions the paint on the mesh will start to chip off, because paint doesn't really stick on the mesh all to well. Thats why I am not painting my mesh.
TY, i gotta wait a whole month to get it painted and on my car and im like a child trying to go to sleep the night before x-mas with this stuff i've been waiting so long for

no, it will hold up...mine has and always has been.
lol i went to go pick it up from the paint shop since its taking a month for the other stuff so i didn't wanna store it there. the guy says "your hood is lighter than the box they shipped it in". I hear its only 8 pounds and i believe it. its definately light as a bitch. as for the color i think i may go for some black mesh. it will contrast well with the konig trouble rims with graphite and i'll add mesh grill for the EC-1. btw the EC-1 front bumper doesn't come with mesh in it does it? if not where can i buy some that looks identical to the hood?

Hmmm...What kind of paint did you use or had apply?
heh yeah i was just gonna get a bottle of black spray paint. would something else hold up and look better maybe? it would probably be to expensive to have them paint it 2 colors professionally
is that Fiberglass? i would paint it the color of your car-if you paint it black, would that seem like youre trying to get the carbon fiber look?. seen some cars around here that had black hoods, but were clearly the stock hoods painted black. sweet hood by the way
hoods being painted red...has been the whole time:) lol the mesh is being painted black. I would be a "toolbox" for buying this hood and painting it black when i have a red car:). The look im going with this car is professional not ricer. I choose my mods wisely and no cheap parts. I already chromed out a car when i was 16. lol, man did i regret that. thought it was cool at the time...wow was i wrong. Don't wanna make the same mistake twice. next step is dropping it and getting rims. how far to drop is the next question. im wondering if i will regret the sportline drop when i got full EC-1 Veilside which is prone to bottoming out already.
