Engine swap
Do any companies make engines that you can swap the stock one for?

if you really wanna be cool, just go with the 3zz, assuming you wanna shell out some bucks.

Is the 3zz better than the 3SGTE engine?

The 3ZZ is just a 2ZZ with mods so technically it would be easier and a bit cheaper to go with the 3zz than the 3SGTE.

Yeah, your correct on all. But Performance wise, the 3SGTE is capable of more IMO. We have already saw a celica with a 3SGTE Engine in it, with 600hp as of a few months ago.
