?Wat I need to drop my car

Hey everybody wave

I know this question has been posted a hundred times before, but I never thought I would need to know this.

Just got my Veilside FF GT body kit (will post pics when its out of the painting shop) and already got angry about it being to high cry

So wat I need help on is if I get lowering springs do I need any of that other stuff like better supsension set or even just coll-overs? Don't wat to have troube later like my car turtleing and all.

Just want like a 1 to 1.5 drop grin

Thanks all for helping out smile

You can do better with Tanabe. They have 3 or 4 different type of springs to choose from (NF, GF, DF), anywhere from a 1" - 2" drop. They even have coilovers.

I got my GF210 from www.suprastore.com for $190. They are having a sale on the DF210 for $100 (2" drop and steal of a price), check it out.

Put those spring on some Koni or KYB struts and you will be sitin pretty.

eibach is a little more expensive..i think around $220+ , but still i highly recommend it. Im not going to speak for the tanabe, because ive never seen them in action on any cars. So check them out since gen7 suggested. do a little research before hand..im sure either one will make you very happy. just as long as you dont go and buy cheap ass sprngs and coil overs, cause then your going to regret it.

...or go with a TRD drop on your stock struts

also a VERY good idea. really cant go wrong with TRD, although i think i saw someone wit a TRD drop and its abrely noticable. almost looks stock, but that just might be the specific car i saw.

I will have to agree with this if your trying to save money. TRD is made by Eibach so if you think about it TRD is Eibach Prokit. You can pick up TRD spring for under $170.

I've seen Prokit and TRD side by side, no difference in the drop. TRD and SportLine, SportLine is lower.

1"-1.5" = Eibach, TRD, Tanabe, Tein, HKS

You can't go wrong with either one, they're all made with high standards. TRD & Eibach are the most popular, so those are the ones that most people are gonna recommend. If you struts don't have too many miles on them, then all you'll need for now are lowering springs & an alignment two weeks after you get the springs installed. If you don't drive that much, then your stock struts will last a couple of yrs or longer. By that time you'll have some $ set aside to buy new struts.

I would go with coilovers 'cuz you can raise & lower the car whenever you feel like it. Like today, I had to raise my car 3/4" 'cuz my front lip was scraping at my dad's shop.

TRD is the way to go... you maintain dealership warranty and get a nice drop. If you feel like you need more of a drop, go with Hotchkis. thumbsup

Awsome tips guys!!!

Now all I need is the drop springs like the TRD,Tein,Tanable,HKs and I am set pretty well right. Nothing bad will happen right. Don't want to just get lowering springs if I needed to get struts to. I can get the lowering springs now, but will have to wait if I had to get the struts or coilovers too.

Thanks for the help

I have Tokico struts/shocks and springs. Modest drop 1.25" but levels out car. I'm happy so far. Feels solid.
