Just wondering if anyone knows what the diameter of the Injen CAI pipe is? I'm just looking to replace the filter but not sure what the size is. Before I go on I know someone's just gonna tell me to measure it myself. But since it's my only vehicle, I don't wanna have to takeout the filter, measure it, put it back on, go buy a filter, come home, take it out again and install the new one. So just thought someone that knows this already could save me some time! (and work!!!) Thanks to all!!!

if i'm not mistaken it's usually 3in bro.. if you don't want to take it out and measure it just take some string and wrap 1 loop around ur Intake tube and bring that string inside and measure that with a ruler..i'm sure that'll tell you exactly what ur filter size is..Good Luck

Sweet! Thanks GTS2003BLK. Here's my next dilemma... should I replace it with another Injen filter or is there another one that you guys have tried and might recommand? I know AEM uses K&N filters... are there any other possiblities?

Funny you should ask, I started a thread on this very subject a few weeks ago: https://celicahobby.com/ubbthrea...&PHPSESSID=I'm going to swap my Injen filter out with a K&N which has filter element on the top as well as the sides. Check their site they make a filter to fit anything: http://www.knfilters.com/universal/universal.htm

Dont know much about the AEM as I own an Injen.
My best advise would be to take your AEM filter off and measure it then follow the above link to K&N's site, click on the link for "Round Tapered" and match your measurements up to one of their filters, and believe me they have allot.
If you still have the part number off the box for your AEM CAI, then type it into google and do a search, guaranteed you will get something back

The following taken from Injen's site: Is it okay to change my filter to another brand or type? You can change the filter but by doing so, you will be altering your Intake system and voiding the C.A.R.B. status. During testing, Injen tests each filter design for type of vehicle and making sure that the filter will work in conjunction with the factory ECU and settings. By changing filter designs, it is quite possible that you will get a check engine light. We do not recommend changing the filter from what came with the original Intake. http://www.injen.com/questions.htmlBasically they are saying you can do it, but they don't like it and your on your own. I think it's a safe area to explore getting more power, if I get a CEL then I'll just put the original one back on.
