few questions on it. what is it? do i need it? can it be replaced with a mesh grill? has anyone done it before?

It's part of the bumper. And masked off so the black is actually part of the Urethane.

^^^OMG, the lip looks like a WW, the black part is on all our cars and its part of the bumper.

anyway, sorry for sounding like a n00b..i'm at school waiting for some friends to finish up their finals...needless to say the computer lab's monitors are extremely dark so it's hard to see detail thumbsup

yes...its a complete ww lip kit. but the black piece is part of the stock bumper. but guys...can anyone answer my question or anything...it just doesnt flow with the rest of the car i think.

I've seen some w/ mesh on it. Try to take off your bumper and see if you can removie the black part.

just paint it... this is my car... has it painted stock, all CB celica's have it like that... because CB is the best color grin

but the black also provides a nice contrast to the rest of the car IMO thumbsup

you guys are not getting the point(as mentioned by others) its part of the mold of the whole(stock) bumper. it cannot be removed(unless you cut it out). the bumpers you see with mesh grills are prolly aftermarket bumpers

My car didn't come with one when I bought it brand new in 2002. It's Carbon Blue, and I've only seem them on the lighter shades: silver, white, red, etc.

1.you could cut them out thumbsup maybe a really sharp blade

2.then pick a grill of your choice from Home Depot and stick it on.

3.You could probably just glue it on... I'd suggest useing JB Weld I dunno idunnoI just love the stuff its strong and can withstand high heat not that the heat part matters =P..

thanks FP...ggrrr...i dont know what to do. i dont like that black thing being there, and no offense but with it being all blue it looks weird, it needs something to break it up a lil bit. does anyone else have any other ideas?

I think it looks dope thumbsup and you should do anything about it but there is one thing you should change are those crome tale lights, i hate those lights they make your celica look so cheap... but thats just what it think angry thumbsdown thumbsdown thumbsdown
