I am the original owner of my car and since I've bought it the only thing I've had done by a shop is change my oil and filter every 5000 miles. I recently installed a Gatorback belt and replaced my brake shoes, but I'm nearing 60K and am wondering if I should let Toyota handle the maintenance for this milestone.

There are many different things listed in the Maintenance section like inspecting gear boxes and tightening various bolts, replacing the spark plugs, etc that I've never done myself.

Would it be wise to let the dealership look at it since I've never had had a total thorough inspection?
