Does anyone know if the stock oil cap will work with the TRD cover? The dealer told me that TRD recommends getting their oil cap ($53 for their oil cap spineyes) 'cuz the stock oil cap is too short, so it wont seal properly.

I already ordered it from ToyoGobo for $99.99 shipped, but it wont get here until the 17th, so you guys have a week to give me an answer :rotf: laugh

^ cancel your order & order it from toyogobo from ebay. it's a toyota dealer in goldsboro, north carolina. I got my trd engine cover, trd sway bars, trd rear strut from them & they always ship the same day I order it.

I have the TRD cover, and the stock oil cap DID NOT fit. I have an 01 GT. It had a bglack plastic oil cap. So I got the TRD billet cap, which is nice, but it made me mad because when you tighten it all the way down, the writing is crocked, like it faces the fender. So in pictures I back it off half a turn.

I've seen that often, "when you tighten it all the way down, the writing is crocked, like it faces the fender."

is that like a defect?? I've seen that in a lot of shot of peoples cars that have the TRD cap
