so last week i was driving and everytime i would take my car over 4500rpm it would loose power in a sense like it would hold back the engine would get louder but the car wouldn't get faster. so i told my friend about this an he said the same happened to him when he had his eclipse(now he has a celica) he said that the problem was that the clutch was going out and i needed a new one. i believed him and ordered this new street racing clutch kit from ACT and had it shipped all the way to alaska which is where i lived i payed 100 just for shipping anyway my friend said that he knows this guy that can install it into my car really cheap he is a certified mechanic. well the part came in yesterday and i wanted it installed this weekend but he coulden't so i asked a few other friends if they could help me and one of them said to stop by so i went to his house and he took it for a test drive and told me it wasn't my clutch
WTF. so now i have this clutch i don't need and my car is still acting up. he said it has something to do with the fuel system. i did have a CEL come on this week and got it tested and the code P0171 came uo which means that i am running to lean i told him that and he said it could be my filter but what else can it be does anybody know? because for some reason i have lost a lot of torque resently i don't have the kick like i used to
