hey, anyone uses radars? which one is the best? and how effective they are? do they really help? thanks.

I dont see the point in getting one, by the time it goes off the cop already has ya

i use one, but i see no point of using it. It doesnt work too good. I would rather get a scanner

since ive been to traffic school for numerous tickets
normally cops turn of their radar gun until they actually see someone speeding down the road. So a radar detector
has no time to warn you until its to late. Also their
now using laser guns which are not picked up by radar
detectors and about 10X more accurate and the distance
is crazy on that thing its about a mile it can pin point
ur speed. Hence theirs no point in buying a detector

i've heard of those ones that scans 360 degrees and detects radars within a 3 mile radius of you...have they been out n i've been livin in the past?

YES they do work but MOST of the time ther beeping anyway...
so your more likly going to turn it off... I do
most cops use laser now here in CALI .. so that means if its beeping then to late cops already cougt you haha

like mastro said, most cops use laser now, and since it is was more accurate that means if your laser detector goes if a laser is already on your car. and radar is just plain annoying, those things go off everytime you pass a automatic door, like at a grochery store. your best bet if crusin highway, is to follow a trucker because in that little head of theirs, they know everyspeed trap known to man
