I have a 12 inch diamond sub. Yesterday it started acting up. I checked all the wires that are connected to the amp and sub. I havent checked behind the headunit yet. But it cuts out and back on alot. Do you think its blown?
How many watts is the amp? What size power wire are you using? If your amp is more than 300 watts you should have 4 gauge wire. If its too small you may be over heating the amp causing your sub to clip. Check you remote wire and speaker wires to see if its grounding out. Just a few ideas...

I had the exact same problem, and it turns out it was just a blown fuse due to it being either just faulty or running the subs too hard for too long, so just check your fuses.

Ok sorry i havent been able to get back to you but it still isnt workin! I changed my fuses on the amp and checked all the fuses that had anything to do with the stereo and they are all fine. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME MORE IDEAS! I dont want to have to spend the money to swap out something if im not even sure thats it.
