i have seen ebay auctions, and other tuner websites that sell no name indiglo gauges, coilovers, lowering springs, alteezas, etc.

no name coilovers going for $70.00 for the whole set. or no name lowering springs for $50.00

have any of you had any experience with any generic parts?

i never trust generic, i trust the phrase "you get what you pay for". i know you can save a lot thru generic, but i dont trust my car with generic parts, its not worth the risk (imho) grin cheers .

For reals. Its your car though, do what you want. But you get what you pay for. You spent thousands on the car itself, and you want it to last and be in the best condition possible right?

But to answer your question, No. I do not trust generic.

Tuning rule of thumb: You get what you pay for.

no... A lot of generic parts will cause losses not gains, and can mess your car up. Better to stick with STOCK than go generic.

Stick to the good names.. Blitz, Injen, TRD, AEM etc..
