i was reading import tuner and they had this "s/c" where it goes right on your Intake, and its run by battery.
it only lasts 12 sec and it rechargeable.
They tested on altima where it only had 130 hp, and when they turn on the "s/c"(from a switch where you can install it on your dash), it boosted up to 250 hp to the wheels(supposely) for that 12 sec.
That's really good right?!. You figure 1/4 mile last around 15-16 sec for our cars. And this will last almost throughout the race. and its rechargeable.
anyone have this or have any idea on how it works???
pros and cons???

why not just buy a leaf blower and hook that up like a Turbo.

It's rice

the good ol' TK supercharger, what it doesnt tell you is it makes your back side heavy, thus having our handling celica lose its ability to turn at high speeds

130 hp to 250 hp for 12 seconds! to the wheels(forgot that part grin)

i am not going to go too much into this, but a couple off my boys(students) wanted to try the same thing on a civic,it gave something,i felt some kind of diffrence, but nothing like even adding an exhaust.
that was a small electric charger that go after the air box.i think they bought it from ebay.
its not practically possible. the motor would have to be huge to make the boost, and the electrical system would not handle it!
