Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, and I got to say this site is awesome in every way. I am buying a GT from a family member, but it won't be a GTS. I don't want to get off on the wrong start in the forums but I have some questions and favors.

Is it worth it to mod up a GT for racing? Or should I save up for the GTS?

Does anyone have pictures of a fixed up GT?

That's it for now folks. I figure you guys could me help me out. wave

It's entirely up to you. A GTS will always be faster than a modded GT, unless you add a Turbocharger, supercharger, or nitrous. If you plan to race, saving for a 6-speed GTS would be your best bet.

As far as modded GT's... the GT and GTS look exactly the same from the outside, except for the wheels... so you could make your GT look like any picture of a modded Celi thumbsup

Don't forget about the difference in the braking system rofl

...and yes I also agree with everytihng that Rev said!

One thing I will add, however, is that your GT is going to be better in the low end, and the GTS is better in the high end. So it also depends on your preferance. smile

Congrats on the car, and welcome to the boards wave

Love my GT. GTS is faster, but GT is no slouch. Can't go wrong with either car. Welcome to the crew.

Why save up for a GTS, with the extra money you can Turbo your GT, and it will smoke just about any GTS on the road.

if you have the mony buy a gts if not then you shudd buy a gt and mode it IMO

i wudd rater have a cool gt with body kit and rims etc.
than a gts that is stock (i fhink the celica look way better with a kit on , mine is stock spineyes )

you can buy a Turbo later if you dont have the mony for a gts rigth away

it is strange how less than half of 7th gen Celica sales are GTS, but those are the primarily the ones who complain about engine problems rolleyes

nope not for me. I'm a 17 year old male so it would be high as hell for a gts. My dad has an insurance company.
