Unless you're adding a lot more power to your car, stick with the stock clutch.

^^ i agree to some extent.

if your car is basically stock i would either get a stock replacement slutch or go with the trd clutch.

i'm leaning more towards the trd clutch because even though your celica is an '00 model..your clutch SHOULD have a couple more years of life on it. i'm assuming you drive your car hard (nothing wrong with that) but if you do..it's better to get a clutch that can handle a bit more abuse, such as the trd clutch thumbsup

The TRD clutch will wear faster than the stock clutch due to the fact that it has a higher clamping pressure over the stock. So in other words, to get the maximum life out of a new clutch, stick as close to the stock clamping force that you can. Anything greater is not needed, and will just wind up wearing faster.

Also, when you buy your new clutch, you shouldn't need a throwout bearing or alignment tool. Most mechanics have their own alignment tool, and throwout bearings can be reused.

hat about the ACT clutches are they any good? They have this street series that sounds good and they say they won't go out as fast and its about 350. A stock one might be more expensive

the act street clutch is awesome.

it can take the abuse of hard driving and it does well with modded cars (such as i/e/h).

you should be able to do a 6k rpm launch and not smell your clutch..its pretty good thumbsup

Do not get either of those.

Why do people always think that bigger is always better?

Putting a pucked disc on a N/A Celica is like jumping out of a plane with five parachutes on, and using all of them. Not only is it overkill, but you could seriously fuck up your car if you don't know what you are doing.
