Over the summer I plan on doing some small painting jobs. i.e. My engine plastics, and Center console.
I hate using spray paint cans cause of overspray reasons and am considering picking up an airbrush.
Does anybody have any experience/suggestions on any airbrushs? I'd need compressor as well. Thanks smile

you will drive yourself crazy trying to paint all of that with an airbrush. You want either an HVLP (high volume low pressure) paint gun, or just stick with spray cans. A good HVLP will run you about $100 for the gun and cup, and then you need a compressor capable of AT LEAST 9 cubic feet per minute of air. Pressure is not really what you're going for, just the volume of air output. The problem is, a compressor with that capability is going to set you back around $500. A good brand for the HVLP is Iwata, and Campbell-Housfeld is a good brand for the compressor. Even after you've spent all of this money though, you will still have overspray.
