Hack Stock ECU?

Would it be possible to hack into the stock ECU and change say fuel cutoff or lift engagement? Maybe even change the fuel maps. I know your gonna say get a PFC, but there has got to be a cheaper way, especially if you don't plan on dyno tuning.

i know the benefits of changing lift and fuel cutoff. I only wish to change the lift engagement and fuel cutoff to match those of MWR PFC.

I'm just wondering if there are any techies that could figure out a way to hack into the ECU.
