So i live in the north where winters can be bad and I want to drop my car with Veilside...well i hope not to be here this winter and in college in the south somewhere but this is what i want and might not be what happens. therefor i may need to raise it back up. I have read to get ground control over skunk 2 for multiple reasons. Now if i am to get the coild overs i have a few questions 1. How will i know what stance to set the car up so i don't botch the handling entirely? 2. do i need bushings and all of that perhaps? 3. why are these kits offered as "full coil over kits" with dampers and whatnot and things i have never herd of. are those what i "need" to drop the car or what would be nice and increase handling? well any info and i would be greatly appreciative. thanks guys loving the site so far :whatever:

What you're talking about are "sleeve-type" coilovers, they're not real coilovers. They're just progressive springs with two o-rings that alllow you to adjust the height.
Real coilovers are Tanabe, Tein, TRD, Hotchkis, etc...and the least expensive is Tein's Basic at $800. With the sleeve-type coilovers you have to buy struts and Hotchkis front strut bar if you plan to slam your car. In the end you'll end up spending $800, so you're better off getting Tein's Basic coilovers.

its looking to me like it would be cheaper to buy 2 sets of springs. one to lower it 1 inch and another set to drop it like 2.25 inches. if i did that would i need the bars and that stuff to? and what if i didn't get the bars? it would create that negative camber/caster and eat sides of tires?

Dam, those coilover's are expensive as hell! It would just be better to buy the strut bar and lower springs now. Then save up and buy the coilover set later.
