Didn't your Injen filter come with a cleaning kit?

It should work 'cuz I don't see why there would be a difference if it's designed for washable filters.

no, it didn't...

I hope it does, because i have a feeling i'm loosing some major power through that filter...

Another question... is a K&N filter better than the injen anyway? I might just go buy a new filter if it would be.

I think Injen uses K&N's filter, they just rebadge it. If your filter is in pretty bad shape, I would just go out & buy a new one.

Try cleaning it first, if it doesn't do anything (performance wise) then just go out & buy a new filter.

How did it get in bad shape?

the driver's side fender liner got ripped off my car on the highway because the bodyshop that repaired my car after my accident didn't put all of the plastic clips back into it, and i haven't been able to afford a new $65 liner since it happened, and it's been through a couple of wyoming snow storms.

Yeah I've used the K&N recharge kit on my injen filter twice now. works like a charm. Just be sure to let it air dry over night. Don't be tempted to hair dry it or something crazy. Do it in the evening & let it sit. Then don't overspray it. I haven't had a cel yet from overspray. (dirty MAF)

About every 6 months, or whenever you think it might be dirty! thumbsup

if you have a cai--every 6 months (depends on rain & dust)

if you have sri--whenever it appears dirty.
