I was wondering if you guys would give me your opinion on how much I should lower my car. I have a 02 gt w/action package. I was thinking about getting the eibach sportlines, but I was worried it was too low and my tires would touch the wheel well. Any suggestions how low I should go?

TRD will lower your car about 1.25" so you won't need to change out your struts, nor will you need a camber adjustment. I would get this kit if you want subtle, and don't want to have to spend an addition $500 on struts, and another $200 on a camber adjustment kit. [These are practically the same thing as the Eibach pro-kit]

If you do want to go lower though, I would recommend the Hotchkis springs. They will give you a drop of about 2" or so, so a camber adjustment as well as aftermarket struts will be nessecary.

The Eibach sportlines you mentioned lower the fron 1.8" and the back abput 2.4" so you will need new struts, as maybe a camber adjustment but I'm not sure.

All I can tell you is what I decided to do (100 people will tell you 100 different things), 1.5" is what I went for. Tanabe GF210 springs on KYB GR2 struts. There on the way via Fedex so I can't yet tell you how they look or feel.

Also since you have the TRD kit, if you have crappy roads, lots of rain/puddles, bumps etc., I wouldn't go for to big of a drop, but that's just my .02

With TRD lowering springs... you dont "need to" but you should Replace your shocks also.

I just bought the TRD suspension package for under $600 (4 springs & 4 shocks)
www.toyotaparts4u.com/e_catalog [toyotaparts4u.com]
Lowered my car about 1.5" . I would have gone lower but the roads/weather around here is horrible.

What size tires do you have that you think they will rub?
I have 225/40/18 and absoluty no problems with my TRD drop.

If your looking at TRD keep in mind that other companys make those parts for Toyota. Point is you can buy the very same springs and struts from the companys that make them (Eibach and KYB) for under $500.
