Hey guys, I was planning on making a grounding kit and I was wondering if any one knows how long I should make ea. wire, how many wires, the gauge of the wire (probably 4), and where I can find those type of heat resistence wires like Radioshack or something.

Thanks guys thumbsup

use 4awg (gauge) cable and 3/8" ring terminals (maybe smaller but the holes may need modification to fit the gounding point bolts).

hyper ground gives lengths and so does team celica. depending on the install you can use 5 or 6 cables.

try a search, young jedi thumbsup

I'm not sure why you would go through the trouble of making your own when they can be had for pretty cheap already... $30 shipped and you have groud wires that are the right length and saves you a lot of hassle in finding parts, labor, etc.

That, and maybe they will work better than the ones that are already pre-made.

Try a hardware store like Homo Depot or Lowes.

go to your local audio shop and buy the 4G wire..they might run out of 3/8" gold ring terminal. But check eBay..i got 10 pieces for $7shipped. Plus you can get the 4G wire for .89cents/foot..i got 10 foots..turn out perfect..cuz i only cut out to make 5 strings.. here's the measurement i got from happies713.. 16 19 23 29 36..he said he make his wire lil bit longer so people can have room to work with..turn out perfect..oh yeah you have to modify 2 ring terminals so it can fit..

Good Luck

Happies Kit:

30" from negative terminal to the bolt near the Intake, under the fuse box bracket.

27" from the negative to the tranny bolt under the battery

14" from the tranny bolt to the engine block. as illustrated in the picture

22" from the right side of the engine block to the left side of the engine block, connect the end to the m10 1.25 bolt

23" from the m10 1.25 bolt to the Power steering reserve bracket bolt. as illustrated in the picture.
power steering reserve must be removed from the bracket and moved over to the side inorder to loosen the bolt under it.
