Unfortunately I am gonna sell my 2000 gts cry because I soon have to begin long commutes to gradschool, so my point is that I need to buy a decent still somewhat sporty car for between 5000-7500 with decent hatch/trunk space.

I am leaning towards a 94-99 celi gt, but what would any of you suggest?

Yeah dude... what is wrong with your car for long trips? Or do you just need way more space?

240SX
MR2
MKIII Supra
'87 AE86
Porsche 944

The MKIII and 240SX would probably be the most fun, especially the Supra because they are pretty high powered stock and with T-tops they can look really gorgeous when modded tastefully.

acura Ledgend, even if it's bought with hight miles, (which'll make a nice year affordable) it's a honda and hondas are pimp like toyotas. It's a comfie car with power some handles and commute-ablity written all over it.

Just One suggestion.

I would get a used Bronco or something similar especially in Illinois with the tough winters. It will cost you around $1000 if you look and have that ride checked by your local trusted mechanic. I wouldn't spend that much money on any used car. Education, living, and out on the town. You'll be doing pretty good after grad school if your not already. Nobody's going to notice what your driving to school. I'm considering selling my GTS just to go back to school and buying a beater for $500 to last 2 years for commutes to school, the store, and my girls. After that, maybe a Porsche. It's all about turning heads I know or picking up girls (if you aren't involved or are a straight girl). Just remember what's important and patience is key.

The latest style Passat is SO much nicer than the Jetta... if you're looking used, there might not be a huge price difference either. thumbsup
