Anyone know how much it'd cost to repair rusted areas and re-paint this truck? It used to be my grandpas, and now it is my brothers, and could anyone color it a light/bold yellow for me (photoshop)? It's original color is canary yellow. Thanks!

^^^ I thought about that actually!

Runs pretty nice for a '58.. mostly needs a facelift, and a few engine fixes.

^^I think its just a bad picture.. I took it in the early morning when it was all wet out. Not saying its in good condition.. but it's not too horrible. I'll see about taking some better -color- pictures tomorrow.

dude go to macco... sometimes they have deals on body work and paint... they do good work by the way... re did my friends 70's camando jeep...

you could prep it at home, just sand all the rust or entire body down to bare metal and seal the metal with body sealer... then take it to macco or a body shop for paint...

they may have to fix some dents and straighten peices and just make the whole body smooth... but it shouldnt cost 20-40K!!!! total restore on paint and body should be way under 5000 (knowing that my friend got his done for 1000)

Its gonna be a great truck afterwards...and please dont slam it to the ground... i have been wanting a truck like that for a while

^^ nah I am trying to keep it as close to original as I can. Only parts that wont be original are the ones I can't get ahold of that need replacing. The truck used to be owned by a water company in my town, then my g-pa and now my dad and bro have it. It's gonna be in the family for years to come if i can help it!
