Thinking of getting a CAI with a water shield or whatever. So i was thinking which one was better AEM or Injen, and if there are any others let me know. Also where is the best place to get em, websites etc? thanks, later everyone.

Hey, I've had both installed in my car. The AEM CAI first, then the Injen CAI. They are both GREAT Intake systems, you can't go wrong with either. There's a little difference in noise. IMO, the AEM was a bit louder overall, but the Injen screams too once you hit the higher RPMs.

Power wise, this can be debated all day. But when you get down to it, they are both great Intake systems and like someone said above, AEM has better low end gains and the Injen has a better high end. Just depends what you want. You can't go wrong with either, though. grin

I belive a combination of Injen Intake and A'pexi Power Filter will do a exelent job.

My friend has a 1994 celica 2.0 GT 3s-ge engine with apexi and this car is asome, he had K&n before but A'pexi gives mutch metter sound and like some guys says: A'pexi is a better filter...

well since the celica really has enough power on in the higher RPM range (VVTL-I) wouldnt you want more low end torque anyway?

to get to lift faster?

Go AEM, becuase GTS has good high end already but really crappy low end. So work on getting better low end power first because if you think about it, you have to go through low end to get to high end. You may have the best high end power in the world but if you have crappy low end power it will take long to get to that power.

if anyone looks at the horsepower/torque chart injen surpasses aem at 7.4rpms. so if you looking for good horsepower for about .6 rpm's then go for the gusto. but if you want better power for 1-7.4rpms then go for the aem cai:) i know it fluxuates a bit but the aem is really in the lead most of the time by a good amount. thats my 2 cents and i probably added some fuel to the fire in some way but hey take it or leave it thumbsup

If you really want low end go with Blitz S-Ram, the others are more higher rpm orientated I believe.

A better and cheaper alternative is to get a no name brand CAI off Ebay, as the bends are pretty much the exact same as AEM & Injen (so I've heard) and the only differance is the grade of filters, so all you need is to buy a differant filter.. there you go, probably saved you a bundle.

not sure if this question fits in here, but its related to the AEM CAI- i have been trying to find a replacement cone-style filter for my AEM CAI. the idiots at checkers couldnt help me, but im trying to find a k&n cone style filter to fit on my AEM CAI. does anyone have a part number for this? if such air filter exists?
