So I'm planning on maybe getting CAI but first of all, which one do I get, which company. Then, how hard is it to install it yourself, or would it be best to have a proffecional do it, and lastly how hard is it to install the bypass valve to prevent hydrolocking? well thanks.

depends...i think AEM gives you more power at lower rmp...Injen is more at higher rpms... installing isnt hard at all, it took me about 2 hours to do that... but prolly 1.2 hours was taking the bumper off and putting it back up...
i dont know anything about bypass valve... srry

for some reason i have a feeling that ty russkii? grin

Installing the Cold air Intake isn't hard but it would be better in you have some knowlege about your engine.. Hum and the bypass valves will decrease your hp.. I have an Injen RD Cold Ain Intake with no bypass valves and nothing bad has happen to me.. hydrolock occours when the filter is sumarge under water.. A rainy day will not cause hydrolock!! wave

I've got at GT and from what I've gathered, an AEM would be better for my engine, but will it really make that much of a difference? I mean is it worth the $200-$250?

ofcourse it'll make a difference, but don't expect it to feel like you have a Turbo/sc in your car.

what I've read, a bypass doesn't do anything on our cars, so it's not worth getting. A splash guard will just help keep water from getting into your filter. Aslong as you don't submerge the filter under water, you won't get hydrolock.

I got the Injen Intake and I love it! It sounds so sweet and you can feel the difference. It took a friend and I about 3 hours total to install it-it wasnt too bad. its worth it tho. thumbsup

Its not that it loses hp, its just that it does not work in the celica.

I had to do it. I guess you could do it if you cut out the wheel well from underneath your car. confused
