I can trade in my 2002 auto GT and get maybe 12,000 for it. I'd be gettin a 2000 6spd. GTS with Intake and exhaust for about 12,500. I still owe 15,000 on my car so id have to pay about 15,000 for the GTS. Should I do it? I dont know how to drive stick very well, but I'd definately be ready to learn.

Year of the car doesn't matter much if you're gonna trade used for used... what's the mileage on each? You don't want to pay more to get a car that won't last as long as yours would.

i wouldn't do it man...you don't know if its been beat on or not...buying a used car, you just inherit someone else's mistakes and problems

although manual 6speed is so much better than auto 4speed, don't do it!!! you're getting an older car, plus more miles on it, not a good trade-off to me. do yourself a favor, get the car you really want next time!!!

Depends on the owner of the car and the condition its in.

My car has 63K miles on it, but I take VERY VERY good care of it (lots of maintenance, TLC)

If it had 30-40K on it, that would be a nice price. however, on a 60K car (especially a GTS) the clutch is likely to be thin, that MY has known shift linkage problems...

Not a good car to learn on. You can easily break it.

I would NEVER trade for an older car with that many more miles.

If you really want a GTS, look for one with 30-40k on it. If you can't afford that right now... I think it's best to save you money and sit tight until you can.

Hey, your not the only one. I posted the same question too, and decided to stick with my GT. Its a lose/lose situation.
