when i shift to second gear it squeeks. anything i can do about it?


was....5speed with i/h/e
15.41 @ 89.30mph 2.282 60'

is....04 srt4 stock
13.936 100.15mph 2.177 60'

get the linkage lubed. I had the same probelm and it took the dealership about 5 minutes to lube the shifting linkage and it was all fixed.

ya shift linkage, there is a tsb for it i think too

Don't get the dealer to do this, mine yanked the cable out of the firewall and broke it, making me leave me car there for a few days.

Just lube them yourself with some Lithium grease.

Make sure to get the front AND back of them thumbsup

Humm my is making the same squeeky noise.. hummm..! May be I'll give it a try to see if it gets fix! thumbsup

It's very easy to fix. Get a $4 can of grease, and take 45 minutes to learn where the shift linkage on your car is and what it does.

Plus, you can take the air hose off the throttle body and clean the valve and plate (you need to to get to linkages easily), clean your MAF Sensor while you're at it.

3 birds with one stone.
