... Yes. Of course it could hurt your motor. Those cars you listed above were MADE for a Turbo set up. Celica wasn't. Especially with the weak valves...

most cars that come with a factory Turbo do not have high psi's running through them. whereas most aftermarket Turbos run in the 6-8 psi range.

turbos wear down ANY engine (weak valves or not). a Turbo does hurt your celicas engine to answer your question. however, it does not significantly hurt it (instead of your celica lasting 20 years like a typical toyota yours might last 5 years less).

to most, the power gains are worth the loss in engine efficiency (i'm a part of this group) thumbsup

ANY mod from CAI - nitrous - Turbo will be more harsh on your car then leaving it stock. If you are worried bout that you shouldnt mod your engine. stick to looks smile

turbos are not meant for the 1zz and 2zz engines, if you get them it would be wise to invest in internals including iron sleeves, the Turbo could seriously damage the all aluminum block under extreme pressure

MOST do not. obviously there will be exceptions to every rule. the wrx sti is a very good Performance car, hence the higher psi thumbsup
