our Celicas history's
when i bought my car a year ago it had 2500 miles on it, it's an '01. the original owner bought it for his son in CO springs in hopes that his son would get his grades up, well as time passed it sat in their garage because the dumb shite didn't do any beter (poor shmuk) so his dad finaly traded it in for his binz. and now i'm the lucky owner of it

I bought mine right off the loading truck. Got lucky when I went to the Toyota dealer and it was being unloaded at the same time I was asking about it. Drove it off the lot that day after about 6 hours of dealing with the salesman. The car had 10 miles on it when I bought it.

I knew we'd likely have to order my TRD edition from Japan because there weren't any around in western Canada at the time. The day I got my promotion at work last year I was going to the dealership to inquire about ordering the car but I stopped off at my parents house first and the dealership had just called to say they just received a TRD edition GT in the showroom that morning. I drove to the city and put my downpayment on it...happy ever since thumbsup

Bought by original owner in December 00, I bought it in April 03.

One of first 00 6spds built, #13 or 14 I think

The is the history of my celica and I.
It's was a birthday gift I bought to myself. I went down to a car auction at Philly a week before my birthday (two months ago). Nasty weather. It was raining at around 32 degree and the whole site was covered in snow (snowed the day before). Out of the twelves GTS, only six showed up because of the bad weather. I was soaky wet for six hours out there in the lot waiting for the car to pull up. The first one, missed because I showed up late due to traffic . Second one, mileage too high frown. Third one, '02 model and low mileage (price + ECU replacement out of my budget) cry. Forth one, 01' at 29,000 in perfect condition. Perfect match but my dealer friend was nowhere to be found and I cannot bid without a dealer license angry. Fifth, auto. Sixth, great match but no moonroof, wtf confused.

Then how did I get my car? Just when I was about to give up, I saw an unlisted new arrival celica. No information about this car (GTS?color?mileage?year?manual/auto?) I had to walk in the rain/snow mixed (3inch) for ten minutes to find the physical car in lot and dig it out of the snow with bare hand. First, found the GTS embelm tasty . Then, stick shift. tasty tasty Interior, not too clean but I can care less at this point (half frozen). Checked year in door label to be 00'. tasty tasty tasty The final thing to check is the milleage, 54000. Acceptable. Thank you, God.

The mileage was high and doesn't seem as new when compare to the third one I saw but I went for it anyway. 54k mileage 00' silver Manual GTS at $11500 (before tax, destination charge, cleaning, paper work and fee to close the aucton). I was unable to check for dent because of the snow but I was surprise to find that it has been well taken care of both interior, exterior and mechanically. I can see that all replacement part are from toyota (clutch, timing beat and even tire.)

Over all, it has been good to me. Sorry, if I am unable to provide the history on the car. This is only my history with my car. I just tells the story because I always feel faith arrange me with this car that somehow I will end up with this car no matter what I did that day.

As the the previous owner, I think I have some hints. All radio channels are preseted to some spanish channels or otherwise Hiphop. Then there are traces of purple nail polish around the stick. I will buy a car fax report to find out whether it's a hispanic lady kiss or a drag queen puke

got mine as a hand me down... my sister didnt go up to the gts package because she was a cheapo... though my dad wanted her to get a gts... i got her car from her with around 18000 miles when she decided to get a camry.

i do miss not having lift, and a manual, and the extra features... but with the money i saved from not buyin the full price of the car i can put in some to a trade or optional aftermarket accessorys (once i get my grades out of the hole)

Mine was the only used GTS for sale in the h town area..and i found it! The previous owner put about 16,000 miles on it and put a TRD action package and subwoofer, and the reason he sold it was because he got 8 speeding tickets and got his license taken away. lucky me!

what a bunch of BS, so as i learned today the story behind my cars past is complete bull shit. Yesterday i had my car's 3000 mile norm. service and when i get it back the air bag light is flashing at me (at this point i'm furiously pissed off at them, but they were closed so there was nothing i could do about it). then this morning i took it to the dealership to have them look over it, and i headed off to work, then while at work the dealer calls me up telling me that the car has been in an accendent one time or anouther and one of the wires has come undone. so i guess the real reason why the orgiginal owner sold it was not because of his original reason but because his punk ass kid wreaked it and they just used that as the reason to get more cash out of it. mother fucker... now i have to pay 200 bucks for thier fuck up, ass holes angry
