Does everyone just use Armor All? AA does great on the vinyl/plastic parts of the car, and the leather inserts in the doors, but it seems like it sucks on the dash itself.

What does everyone use for the actual dash? The texture is rough and picks up lint easily, armor all just doesn't seems like the best choice for that.

never put armor all or that shit on the dash..it can damage it over time and looks dumb thumbsdown thumbsdown

I take a nice cloth, put spray nine on it...then wipe down everything...

takes off scuffs, marks, dust...and leaves it clean thumbsup

i never used spray nine but what i have found to work the best is vynlx its at pep boys. it is hte best stuff you can use it lets it breathe so it won't crack isn't too shiny works flawlessly.

oh adn never i repear tneve4r use armor all on yoru dash or setas not too mention any leather it will maek it crack if used repeatedly. for you leather seats and inserts use lexol cleaner and lexol coditioner. my leahter still looks brand new after 2 and a half years.

I use lexol leather conditioner and cleaner for the shift boot, sills and seats. Then vinylex on a wet microfiber towel to clean the rest. It's the best I tried so far. Much better than Armor All, that stuff sucks.

You work as a detailer and you use Spray nine on DASHES ?? What do you use for windows spit and an old newspaper ? Spray nine will dry the dash out it is also corrosive...

Anywho ... Personally meg gold class spray stinks Megs NXT smells OK but doesnt work as well leaves spots confused . I use the bright red bottle meg vinyl cleaner cant remeber the name but it presents a nice shine thats last isnt to bling bling and it isnt oily or attracts a lot of dust . I mention the smell cause I can smell it for a couple day s and smells nasty . Armor All is like the Geo Metro of detailing supplies Spend a couple bucks more and get a better product

Armor All is pure shit. It does damage your interior over time, so if you like your car then don't use it.

Meguire's (sp) is really good, if you are willing to pay a little more.

i work at a ford dealer, and we have a waxed cloth made by motorcraft. it works very well at removing dust without leaving any fibers from the cloth or wax on the surfaces. in other words it works great for dusting without leaving any chemicals on the surface. smile

they are not the same. the prep is just a wash and a sipe down pointless and crappy.

I'm not sure of what's going on here. Don't you mean vinylex?
I'm sure he's not talking to you^^^ Mr. Sray Nine user and known employment history maybe the Ford guy. Any way those Lexol products are good enough for our Celicas.

meguiars dash & trim foam protectant is great, thats what i use and have no problems with it. also if your looking for a nice shine, buy a can of silicone (spell?) spray and a light coat of that on the dash and spread evenly. it doesnt hurt it as well. i have even also heard of people using vaseline but i dont know how good it works or damage it does if any?

DONT USE ARMOR ALL thumbsdown Bad!
I use soap, water and a sponge
Works great and actually cleans the dash instead of adding a slimmy layer over the dirt like armor all.

Think of it like this you paid 20k for the car you spent maybe 5k on mods but you dont want to spend $6 on a quality PROTECTANT?? the dash needs Protection putting stuff on it may actually harm it . You could dry it out or it could belike an accellerant and burn the dash .
So go buy a decent dash dressing try the NXT in the picture you might like it it smells pretty good Gold class stinks .
Car Dealer Detailers Suck. the dealership uses the cheapest stuff out there with no training. The dealership i bought my car from EVERY car had massive swirl marks from someone not knowing how to use a polisher.
