So like I said all along we were able to pull so much in just 2 hrs of tuning the power fc to my car.

this was not some pro shop costing over $100 an hr this was just us w/ a laptop and dyno. lol

my daily street map on a warm run is 182.6whp 134.0 wtq smile

my track map is significantly higher than that. we ran 38 passes back to back and still dynoed 4th gear at 182.8 whp and 134.6 wtq. judging by the 6 whp gain we got from letting the car sit for 20 mins before dynoing the street map again my tack map on a non burning up motor will be around 188 - 190 wink stock ecu was 166.5 whp and 120.5 wtq I'd say the little bit of $$ I spent on dyno time was VERY well spent.

I've also got a perfect A/F ratio and a nice even power curve.
scanning dyno sheets will post in a min...

First you would have to find one that didn't have the engine blow up. rofl

anyways I got tired last night and went to bed. lol

heres the graphs...

This is my baseline run compared to my finished map.

1) stock ECU
2) power fc - this was our old tuning.
3) power fc tuned for 2 hrs

if I can get a good header that puts down around 10 whp on it's own I think I could make it pull me to 200. but I doubt it. maybe 195 max. we'll know when we do illusives car w/ header next time. smile

wow yeah it would be nice to see with header and all that business, how is it for driveability? still an everyday car?

the street maps a/f ratios were still on the safe side of the curve around 13.0 even throughout the powerband, so he should have no problems with drivability on the street.

the track map however is a bit more extreme and I would not drive daily on that map smile

the street map has already been put to harsh uses and it passed with flying colors. smile

as a certain individual with a ss z28 found out when I took him up to 130 before he started to pull it back. lol by 145 he was passing me slowly though frown not bad considering I had a passenger and he wasnt stock wink I cant wait to hit the track thursday!!!

the map you using now is not good for daily driving? y does it burn too much gas or wuts the downside of the aggressive map?

that's awesome mike...i love the street map results.

i'm not too crazy about pumping too much power into regular driving though...it's just too much wear on the engine for me. maybe if i had another car, but that's not likely.

anyway, your pushing a TON of power from a celica, and that is great thing thumbsup

I believe the stock ecu gets a mixture of 17:1 a richer mixture can cause carbon fouling.

^^^ lol the stock ecu is NOT 17:1 spineyes

my street map IS good for daily driving which is why we made it. my track map on the other hand is MUCH more aggressive and shouldnt be driven daily. also I dont think it is burning any more gas than stock wink at one point I was using a map that gave me better mileage then stock. lol I toped off my tank again and I'm gonna see how many mg I get now. my best so far was 45 mpg average w/ lotsa frwy driving. lol even racing that map averaged 27 mpg smile yes I even keep track of gas mileage. lol my worst was the mwr map I averaged 25 mpg frwy and 18 racing frown

depending on your mods it fluctuates. btw 17.0 a/f ratio is super SUPER LEAN!

the stock ecu can range from 15 to 11's

pre lift on my car it was between 14.0-15.0 and in lift it was from 13.0 to 11.0, it fluctuates badly.

So with the PFC you can tune it to be more constant. At a mixture that is more optimal?

Is in "lift" a richer mixture needed? Depending on the octane number of the fuel?

if you look at the graphs you'll see we kept it to 13.0 across the power band. thumbsup no need to have it richer in lift that we saw.

since 13.0 a/f is a ratio, if you keep it constant at 13.0 as your rpms go up and your engine requires more fuel to keep the 13.0 a/f ratio, there is no need to richen it in lift, as it is already getting more fuel at say 8K rpms than at 2K rpms, the ratio of air molecules to fuel molicules stays the same
