i was just merging onto highway when my check engine sign came up... i wasnt over rev. or anything... right when i shifted from 5th to 6th. Anyone know what this might be? The only problem i can think of is that i havent changed oil for about 5.5k miles now... i changed the oil, then after 3k they added up...but i havent done complete oil change for about 5.5k now... could this be the problem? How do i get rid of this sign?..

Yep, even though a lot of people look down on this place, it does have some cool things like reading your codes.

what was the code? P0171? P0174?

"system too lean"

its probably one of your sensors, my guess is the MAF, take out your MAFS and clean it like it says in the install guids and reset your ECU...

it could be a lot of things, what was the code?

ya...

i didnt know you have a CAI, now i'm 99% sure thats what it is.

just clean it with throttle body and carburator cleaner and reset the ECU and you'll be fine.

reset ECU by unplugging the negative terminal on the batery for like 15 mins.

use a q tip, but thats not the MAFS, the MAFS is in the tube, it looks like floss and is very delicate, the thing circled in the pic is an Intake air sensor (IAT).

clean the IAT and MAFS and you should be fine.
