I have heard from many sources that the S-AFC won't do much for the GT and is totally not worth the money.. this is coming from a VERY trusted guy with a GTS who has an APEX-i. The GTS will run lean after Intake
is installed, The GT usually runs rich as it is even with CAI
, so the AFC wouldn't be able to help that much (other than fuel economy at least). You do need some sort of tuned AFC with a turbo though.. otherwise you would be VERY lean in your air fuel ratio, your car probably wouldn't run.. All 3 of the turbo kits coming out this summer come with either a reprogrammed ECU or an AFC of some sort.. so IMO if you have a GT, there is no reason to get one unless it's part of a turbo kit.
the only reason I could see, is if you never run your car hard, but still want it to keep the power up, and want the ECU to not do the fuel/performance switch on you.. It MIGHT help you there, but that is such a small difference, you might not even notice it. [ 05-18-2003, 07:25 PM: Message edited by: FX-MAN ]
