i decided to make a cabin air filter..but couldnt find 3M. So i just got a regular furnace filter..someone in the install section said that i can only use 3M for the vent to work properly... is this true?

I doubt it. I used 3M but I can't see the big difference as long as it's the same style. thumbsup

It should be fine - I bought the stock one ($24) and it looks like it is made out of a dryer sheet

you can use just about any type of filter i bought a large one for a HVAC and then cut it down to fit and cut out about 5 from one sheet for only 8 bucks sure bets spending 25 bucks for one [/color]
