the install is pretty simple: unbolt the old header, line up the gaskets on the new header and bolt that bad boy into place.
There's not much more to it than that.

well it really depends on how much experience you have with installing parts like that.. how many tools you have, and if you're going to get any help.
Personally, I'd probably leave that one to the professionals.. not because it's particularly HARD, per se, but because it's going to cause you a lot of headaches.

I agree, theres a lot of easy things you can do yourself on a celica, but I would leave this to a professional, or at least get help from someone thats really knowledgable.

yeah norway, installing a header on the celi requires tons of time (an entire day in most cases), plus an air wrench usually, cause the bolts are so damn tight!! You're car is gonna sound nasty as all hell tho (I'm a little jealous, and man enough to admit it) with the header and kazuma

its a bitch man...Plan on LOTS OF TIME...and get a case of beer Its tight quarters down there yea it is. its been only like 15 min. ive managed to get 1 of the heat shields completely loose, and the other (which needs to come out to let the other out) ive gotten 2 out of an unknown number of bolts off. my hands hurt from being in these wierd bent positions. im going back out to try and get the rest of the bolts off the one heat shield. its gonna be a long day

good luck on doing it yourself. I think the hardest part of the install is just getting to where you need to be. I had mine installed by a shop...

I had mine installed by a shop... i would do it at a shop for sure if i had any money at all. i have 23 dollars in my bank account, 35 dollars for the track on sunday, and 7 dollars to spend for the rest of the month

Borrow some from your parents or something? You should be able to get it done by a shop $100 or less

ah, I see. then I feel for you bro. when an install isn't going right, things get frustrating really fast, especially if bleeding is involved...

if you remove your valve cover it will free up some precious inches. thats how i did it. also be very careful when you remove the nuts that hold the header to the block, i striped one of the bolts and it took me a good 6 hrs to get it off
a kid told me that celicas handle like crap... i laughed

you can do it yourself norway...
of your cool with your shop teacher at school he'd probably let you bring your car in and use a lift... then it would only take about 1.5 hrs.

lmao, i didnt die. but that fucker was the biggest bitch to install. totall time was 7 hours. 2 hours alone, and the other five with 2 other guys helping. results... *sound is definately deeper *i coulnt really feel a big difference when driving, but thats why i used the Gtech meter before when i Gtech'd the car i got 15.60 in the 1/4 mile, and a 0-60 time of 7.2 (at the track i ran a 15.59) with the header installed my first run was a 15.41 with a 7.2 0-60 time. (my launch wasnt that good). then i ran a few more times and fucked up every run, ie, missed 2nd gear, missed 4th, yea yea, and once had just a horrible lauch so i just stopped. then my last run i had an ausome launch and got 6.8seconds 0-60, but slowed down early, so i only got 15.4 seconds in the 1/4 mile, but should have been much faster, i just slowed early. overall...the header made a HUGE difference in 1/4 mile times. took .2 off my time while having a worse launch. this thing definately performs. it is not technicly hard to install, its just the biggest bitch of a thing to do, and everything that can get in the way will do so.
