First stereo I've ever installed. Removed and replaced 100% of the stock system. Took me a while but it was well worth it and not difficult. It was time consuming just because I've never done this before and I'm a perfectionist, or at least I try to be. Look ok?

Some pics of my ride all cleaned out (mostly):

I didn't take pictures of the doors because you can only see the red color of the Xplods through the grill and that's about it. Replaced door speakers w/6.5" mid and tweeter. Crossovers are stuffed in there too. The whole system except the head unit is Xplod.

The Rockford Fosgate on the left is a four channel running the doors and the rears and the Acoustics amp on the right is running the subs, which are 10s.

The amp on the right... I couldn't find a way to mount it flush like the Rockford Fosgate, so I ended up mounting straps for it although it came out uneven. With the seats up you can't really tell I guess. Any better mounting ideas for that amp?

Yea im not a big Xplod fan...i feel they tend to do what they are named after...explode tongue but its cool, oh ya and if you wanted to mount that other amp try putting it under one of the front seats (its less noticeable, but it may take a little time switch it from where you have it, just a suggestion) good installs tho thumbsup

Thanks for the compliments everyone. Heh, after I was done I felt like the dude from Castaway when he was like... "Look! Look what I have done! I! I have made fire!!!".

It honestly hits pretty fooking hard and is one of those systems that doesn't sound that great until you get it up past a certain volume and everything kicks in.

Install wasn't bad but I went slow and took my time. The hardest part was probably trying to get the 1/2" power cable through the firewall. Drilling the rivets outta the speakers and rebolting them using the factory housing was too easy.

I bought a Rockford Fosgate installation kit that had everything I needed. Then I told the dude at Best Buy I needed a single din adaptor and wire harness for an 04 Celica. He busted out few bags that had everything. The adaptor w/the cubby hole, a harness that matches our factory harness and lables all the wires for you (you'll need the GT/S wire diagram if you don't get one, and be prepared to cut up your factory car harness which is ghey imo). He also gave me adaptors that plug into the factory speaker housing, but they're not necessary and create more work to use those actually so *don't* bother with them.

As you know my install was on a 04 GT. I'm really proud of myself and love blowin' up the intersection w/my jams now and again.

If anyone needs advice or has questions on a basic full system replacement ask away and I'd be glad to help. Wish I had someone to help me w/the many questions I came up with along the way. Like... "why does the tweeter have four identical wires coming out of it?!". Weird shit.

Anyway, thanks again everyone, and in closing I'd like to say you've gotta be really really bored or actually installing a stereo to have read all this! Muhahaha!
