i hab a Spectra blue celica and im tryin to find spray paint like dat color or sumthing close to it so, i can paint my plastic pieces in the engine, know wut kind i should use? thank you?

I used some of that dupli color high heat stuff on my spec blue. Its pretty close to the same color. I think it looks good, but you may want to get more in depth and make it match perfectly.

This is the only pic I have right now. It is also a little darker than in the pic, you know how pictures can distort colors here and there. I do not have that big plastic pieces in that is on the right side. I have a close up with all plastics in, but I need to get the film developed. I may do that tomorrow.

did you have to use a primer on the engine pieces???

No, the primer will not be able to stand the high heat. I just put on about 3-5 coats, or until the paint was equal and no spots. But at least 3 coats.

you can buy high temp engine primer at pepboys, should be in with all the other engine paint. thumbsup I used it on my engine, no problem, great results thumbsup

When painting any thing remember prep is the key make sure the surfaces are really clean and free of oils as far as paint try to find a paint with a flex additive in it. (bumper paint) they have a bonding agent in them and your paint wont chip or flake off.

Go to Autozone and get the saphhire blue auto spray paint. It was the third color i tried for my interior pieces, and the only one that i was pleased with(i'm a perfectionist). It even has that special sparkle that our spec blue cars have thumbsup
