i was told that the tsrm is really loud. i am looking for a quiet exhaust -- the people at the shop told me that either the greddy evo 2 or the tshm would be a better one for me . which is better? are they right?

They're both going to be quiet exhaust until you floor it. And Tanabe weighs less, too.

i got greddy evo and i regret it everyday, you can barely tell its not stock, get TSRM!!! greddy is to quiet for me and weighs way to much!

my advice: get the trd exhaust (extended if you have a body kit, regular if you don't and don't plan to get a bodykit) thumbsup

exactly

just saying: i've seen dynos of the trd exhaust and they give a 4 whp gain with a pure bolt-on.

tsrm is supposed to have good gains as well, but i've yet to see a 3rd party dyno of it. until i see one and find that the gains are on par or better than the trd...i recommend the trd exhaust.

trd is also one of the lightest exhausts available thumbsup

def...it's quite as hell idling...that's what makes it not ricy, so it's not so gay.

EDIT FOR ABOVE: it says its for the gts but fits just the same on the gt

^^ yes, you'll be fine.

as far as sound goes, the tsrm is not ricy and will give you a sound that most people love at higher rpms thumbsup

Ok.. First of all, what is Ricy?? hum I thought I knew but now I'm not sure.. Ok, The Evo sucks for the Celica??? Hum friends has an EVO for his Prelude and its nice.. it quiet but once is running it has this deep sound and you can tell there is no way is stock.. even when its not in motion you can tell its not stock.. well I was going to get an EVO as well, but since I am hearing from a CELICA OWNER that it sucks and its heavy.. them I won't! rice

ricy exhausts:

1. sounds likea tin can being kicked around

2. sounds loud 24/7..even at very low rpms when you're engine is practically running idle.

clean exhausts:

1. quiet at low rpms
2. nice, steady moan or growl at higher rpms

i think. i can only find it for the gts as well. i would assume there's a reason for that.

haha well trd gives like a 5.7 whp gain.

thats almost twice as much for basically the same price if you look at it that way.

dyno cell by Turbo magazine--everyone looking to buy an exhaust should look into this.

it's not a new review though, so some exhauts (such as tsrm and greddy evo II weren't made and obviously weren't tested for this reason)

who said that?

the kazuma is a racing exhaust. it's loud because theres not a lot of restriction to airflow and it gives great gains.

you're not supposed to drive with it on public roads anyway..if you drove down my street with it i'd say 'ricer!'

at a racing track (where it's only supposed to be used) i'd say "wow, he's got kazuma!"
