Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior 2k GTS motor rebuild

yeah so unfortunately i need a complete overhaul. just curious. any parts i can have them slip in there that would increase the Performance? i can't think of anything off the top of my head. thanks and "stay lifted" cause my car won't be using lift for a month or so:(

well you can get thte stroker kit from monkey wrench or new pistons and drop the compresion so you can Turbo it later

Valves, and valve springs would make lift more stable I'd assume. I think MWR has them for the GTS.

I can vouch for monkey wrench...I bought new internals from them for my 03 gt, and the valves and valve springs defeinitely make the upper end more stable...you can stay at higher engine speed for longer, without worrying about tearing the balls out of your engine...how much is the re-build gonna run you btw?

btw what did you do or what happen that warnted a complete rebuild ? what kinda mileage ? if you don't mine me askin(i just turned 100k miles)
